New head of the OSCE Office in Minsk visited BHC office

On February, 2 the new head of the OSCE Office in Minsk Benedikt Haller made an introductory visit to the office of Republic Human Rights Public Association “Belarusian Helsinki Committee”.

In the course of the talk with the chairman of BHC Aleh Hulak the following questions were discussed: situation with human rights in Belarus, the beginning of election campaign for elections to local soviets of deputies, as well as future cooperation prospects between the OSCE Office and BHC. Among the priority areas of such cooperation the following were mentioned: educational activities in human rights area, reforms in penitentiary system and good governance.
