The overview of the trends for September–December 2024 (in English) has been published, along with the short presentation on the situation for the entire year (unfortunately, this presentation is available only in Russian).
2024 appears to mark the end of a five‐year period of a new phase in Belarusian society that began in 2020. The peak of repressive policy at the legislative level was reached in 2023. In 2024, the state was “digesting” previous measures and even went into a second round, introducing new changes to already repressive legal provisions.
